Time for another challenge at House of Cards.  This month you can use text and or colors.  I sent with image I have had for ages that has the text and flower on one stamp. I embossed it with Pearlescent  Silver embossing powder and then covered it with Distress Oxide inks and spritzed with water, close up below:

Flowers are one of my favorites to design with and purple is my favorite color so this was a fun and easy photo challenge for me.  I have a fairly new Taylored Expressions striped Background so I used that to pull in the gray, and used Altenew's Chrismas Rose stamp & die collection for the rest of my stamping.

Feathery Hello

House of Cards, Photo Inspiration April,2017

 

 

 

 

 I went with the photo and colors since they both inspired me. I went with MHKDesigns Fanciful Feather digital set and sized, arranged and colored the feathers online.  Then I die used a Lawn Fawn die to add interest to the edges, and a hello die to do a inlaid word.

This is my 2nd post for today.

Love Theme and/or Colors

Time for another fun monthly challenge at House of Cards.  This month of course is Love, or colors.  I went with Love and included most of the colors also.  I did a twist on the technique of Triple Time Stamping Technique by using the same layout but substituting patterned paper for the stamped layers.  I did inlaid die cutting on my top layer instead of stamping and finished off with some ribbon.

Time for another fun challenge at House of Cards.

I am excited to be back for another term with House of Cards.  As you see from above I went with the colors using a digital set New Year Greeting by MHK Designs.  I used metallic paste on my designer paper, coated it with Distress clear rock candy crackle paint and then sprinkled some glitter on top. I did the same with some die cut stars.  Close up below.

House of Cards October Challenge

Welcome, time for another monthly challenge at House of Cards, you can either create a gatefold card or go with the colors:

 I am so inspired with the words of this set from Inspired by Stamping (designed by Mynn Kitchen) and have been itching to use it,  I used some patterned paper from my stash and just a few embellishments as I wanted the sayings to be the focal point.

Fruit/Drink Image and/or Colors

Hi everyone, its time for another monthly challenge at House of Cards with the fun theme of:

Fruit/Drink Image and/or Colors

 

I pulled out a die cut for the card below that I have had for some time now and had not used and went with the colors.  After my initial yellow base, some lime, green papers and a blue and yellow center I had fun pulling out die cuts and punches and added a Happy Day sentiment so I can use this card for any occasion.

April Challenge: Script/colors

It's time for another fun monthly challenge at House of Cards! 

 

This month challenge is...

Create a card with script and/or using this color inspiration:

 

 

 

I went with script:

 

 

 

I embossed this Rose Collage image which already had the script on it on two types of vellum, one with gold splotches on it and one plain piece of vellum.  I was not quite sure what I was going to do next.  Above is what I came up with.  The top card I mounted the image on white and tore and antiqued with gold and added some pattern paper and antiqued an embellishment I had sitting on my table.  I die cut the next piece of vellum along with a background layer, added a gold strip and used a new flower die I had just bought - Spellbinders Blooms three and then rubbed some gold ink on the background. The top card is going in the mail for an April anniversary and the bottom one will be for a co-worker birthday.

Its time for another challenge at House of Cards.  This month as shown above the challenge is a Word Cue  and the Word is SILHOUETTE.  I went with A Sunny Side of Life by A-muse studio and embossed it on a Brusho background that colored to make look like sky and grass.
