Gorgeous Grunge

Gorgeous Grunge was the next stamp from my pile of uninked stamps that I choose to play with second.  The reddish pink layer is vellum, and the gold was stamped on the white layer underneath as it needed some depth and color.  Butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch and I added the black layer on the bottom for a bit of added color and to tie the black butterflies in. I do not do much abstract so this was a challenge and a lot of fun.  This set was an early Christmas present from my friend Shirley after we made the gray, yellow and black card below from the same set at her house and I really liked the set. It can be used so many ways.

  1. I don't do a lot of abstract either, Donna, but I do really like how you've done this card! The pink, white, and gold colors are gorgeous together and the black butterflies and mat set them off perfectly!! As a matter of fact, I've just finished a pink, white, and gold card to post tomorrow! And, guess what else, I also have that Gorgeous Grunge set, just had to have it, got it what two/three months ago, but have I inked any of it? Nope.

I love that you are on a crusade to use those uninked stamps before you buy any more. If I had stuck to a resolution like that, I wouldn't be looking at my NBUS Mountain right now!!

Thanks so much for playing in my second NBUS Challenge!! It's a pleasure to meet you and become your newest follower! I hope you will pop back to my place and follow me, too, if you like! I look forward to seeing you again soon! Hugs, Darnell

  3. Great idea to use vellum as a layer on a stamped background. I've always loved the silhouette look, and the black butterflies have this effect. Elegant design!
