Happy Mothers Day

Below is my moms Mothers Day card, Happy Mothers Day to a wonderful mom and friend, some of you on my sidebar know her as anonymous on your blog comments, she is also an amazing stamper. Above is a close up so you can see the shimmer of the flowers.

I was fascinated by Jennifer McGuire's video's on  deco foiling so when I spotted the foiling on clearance at Michael's I had to buy a bunch of it and then of course since she uses a laminator  for the best results I went to Amazon and found one for just $14.99 (I do have other uses in mind for it).  My husband is beginning to realize my cards are not inexpensive.

Stamp is from Stampendous, butterfly die from Memory box.

Happy Mothers Day to my all my blogging friends that are moms, hope you have a wonderful day.

  1. What a beautiful card!!! Love the shimmer of the foil! She will love this! My mom died last summer so this is my first Mom's Day without her. I do send cards to our daughters, the DILs, and the adult granddaughter. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Absolutely gorgeous! Love the foil - such a beautiful colour! I know your Mom will love this pretty card! I got a few of the clearance foil rolls at Michaels too but haven't tried them yet. I need to re-watch Jennifer's video so I can remember what to do LOL. My memory isn't so good! We have a laminator so I'm all set. Now all I need is some time! Enjoy your weekend, Donna!

  5. Beautiful card Donna! I know that your Mom will love it when she gets it! Tell her Happy Mothers Day for me. I saw that same technique and video by Jennifer. You will have to teach me how to do it at our next get together.

  6. Oh.....love the foiling - I am sure the picture does not do it justice - but I'm thinking....we have a play date ahead - and well "maybe" your project could be - foiling.

  7. Hehe, my hubby realized that a long time ago. He says now I can't afford to stop having used the whole card budget for the rest of my life and then some. But crafting addiction prevents me from doing lots shopping and spending money on other things (except holidays, I love to travel!)
Love the shine of the foil. It's so beautiful and I really like uncolored images. Lovely design!

  8. A lovely delicate card. There is something about daisies that I really like. I am longing to have a go at this foiling. I have the laser printer and laminator, but haven´t found the right stockist of the foil yet - one that wants to send it to rural Spain! But I will! In the meantime, I will enjoy what everyone else is producing. I am glad you linked this to the Butterfly Challenge. Kate x
