House of Cards September Challenge

 

It's time for a new monthly challenge at House of Cards!   The September Challenge is: 
 
Use Stitching (Faux or Real)

I've seen several latch cards and wanted to try this technique.  I colored up  the Blossoming digital stamp set by MHK Designs and pulled out my Die-namics rectangular stitched dies, Copics, and a few butterfly brads from my stash and this is what I came up with.  The top butterfly is what latches the card as you can see above.  Below is an unlatched view and an open view.

 



Each week a different team from the House of Cards design team and a technique by a member will be featured on the main page or you can check out all the creative "stitched designs" by following the links at House of Cards right away!  A different tutorial will be featured each week so be sure to check back.  We hope you will play along with our September challenge, you have all month to join us at House of Cards!

    OMGoodness, this is a WOW card, Donna! Gorgeous! I LOVE these deep, rich colours! Your colouring is beautiful! I like your latch design and the sweet butterfly! And I like how the leaf overlaps the stitched die-cut frame! Awesome card, my friend!

    Love the latch card - and the butterfly is the perfect latch. Going to have to try this one - hopefully in a day or two. Love the coloring on your flower.
