The House That Stamps Built: Inspiration Photo

It's Photo Inspiration week at The House That Stamps Built
and below is the photo Wendy gave us for inspiration:

I chose the colors this week:

I used the gray and lavender's for my sky and embossed
Bi-plane Silhouette over the clouds, I added an embossed
strip with Soaring by to say Hi, and used a die set by
Pawsitively Pawsome Designs: Cross Stitch Flat Bottom Circles
for my layers on a gate fold card that I scored.

  1. I really like your color palette with the plane and the soft clouds in shades of gray and light purple. I haven’t made a gate fold card in a while. Putting that on my list of things to do.

  2. Those beautiful soft clouds look perfect behind the plane silhouette image, and I LOVE the die you used for your gate fold card! The wavy sentiment gives one the feeling of floating on air - perfect!

  5. Hi, Donna! What a Mesmerizing background that works beautifully with your challenge! Fantastic card. I’ve been enjoying your creations, and apologize for not leaving comments. Just lurking. I’ve been reorganizing my dies... a slow process for me lol... and enjoying some cardmaking just for fun these days. This week I’ve regained a bit of energy, so I spend a 5 minute morning segment pruning our rapidly growing shrubbery. Jack has our new green house completed, and he is now building the shelves on the inside. Been reading quite a bit, and resting a lot. Still struggling with resting because it feels like I’m wasting time, but Jack reminds me it’s not wasting time if my body needs it. Hugs, de

  6. Lovely take on this weeks challenge. Tough one for me - made two cards - didn't like the first and the second one isn't all the great either IMHO, but oh well. Yours rocks!
