Create Your Own Background

My turn to chose the theme at Allsorts challenge.  I went with create your own
background, of course anything goes is always allowed too!

I used AAL L& Creates Cascading Dots stencil, and AALL &
Creates stamp set Glide.  Die is  Tim Holtz die stacked deckle.

I positioned my stencil and pressed Gold Versa Color ink over all the
dots until I had good coverage, I then embossed it in gold.  I also embossed
the stamp set.  A little die cutting and layering and my card
was complete:

  14. The gold embossing over the stenciled dots creates such a rich, luminous background, and it pairs beautifully with the embossed butterfly. The contrast against the black really elevates the whole design. Your layered deckle framing adds just the right amount of structure without taking attention away from that striking texture.

  17. All that gold is gorgeous. Well done for the heat embossing using a stencil - I find that tricky.
