Happy 90th Mom

My mom is turning 90 this week and this is the card I made her. I used

Our Daily Bread Designs Lavish Layers, Spellbinders Die D-Lites,

and Stampin Up Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies and shimmery

papers from my stash.  Blue is her favorite color so had to use

that.  Celebrating my mom's birthday with family and close

friends today.

Everyone's favorite week at The House That Stamps Built:

I needed one more Thanksgiving card so I pulled out a smooshed

ink background from my stash that looked fallish, die cut a few

Filigree Alder Leaves and added this favorite Thanksgiving saying

of mine from Repeat Impressions: 3214-G, Thanksgiving Blessings,

a few green gems and it was done.

Another lovely photo inspiration from Wendy at

I had such a fun time making this card! I embossed Repeat Impressions

3312-E, Maple Leaf, and 3313-E, Oak Leaf in clear embossing powder

on Time Holtz watercolor paper.  I then did Ink Smooshing with

Distress Oxides.  After I inked the leaves with Distress Oxides

Seedless Preserves, stamped off once and stamped leaves on the

background. I finished off with ribbon and 3 die cut Filigree Alder Leaf's

 by Pawsitively Pawsome Designs.

A fun new Tic Tac Toe from Wendy at The House That Stamps Built:

 

 

I like making special fold cards so this week I went with a

Flap Fold Card, very easy and fun to make.

I went diagonally from the top left to the bottom right and used

Repeat Impressions: 514-I, Prize Pumpkin, 3312-E, Maple Leaf, and

3313-E, Oak Leaf, colored with Copics.

This week was Rock Star Laurie's turn to pick the challenge of

the week over at The House That Stamps Built, she picked

the fun theme of "Frame It"

 

I went with a Thanksgiving theme using Repeat Impression's:

908-K, Cornucopia and   3214-G, Thanksgiving Blessings. I

colored the Cornucopia with Copics, Die cut by Spellbinders,

I layered 2 together to make a frame, and papers from my stash.

The House That Stamps Built: Pick of the Week

My turn for Pick of the Week at The House That Stamps Built

and I decided to highlight this darling Penguin Tree

 and using up scraps of cardstock.  I had a favorite

6x6 pad of Christmas paper that was just scraps left and along

with a couple stray 6x6 papers I created the cards below.  Of

course I used several other Repeat Impression stamps

also as  Wendy is offering a nice discount for you on

all the stamps I use today!
