The House That Stamps Built: Inspiration Photo

Inspiration week at The House That Stamps Built:
No automatic alt text available.

I have to say this week was a challenge. I've made galaxy and night scenes before with
no difficulty, this time it was quite a challenge.  My first attempt was almost complete,
and then water splatter time, dipped my paint brush and over my little tub of
water went, yes you guessed it right on to my background.  I actually like the
look and you will eventually see it on a card.  Second attempt, I decides a
glitter spritz would look nice in the sky, wrong.  So here you go with
the third attempt:

Supplies: Repeat Impressions:2709-I, Large Pine Forest, Distress Oxide
Inks: Worn Lipstick, Shaded Lilac, Faded Jeans, Fossilized Amber and
Mystery blue in Faded Jeans container, White chalk in.

Join in the challenge for a chance to win the monthly drawing for a
$25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate.  Cards made with
Repeat Impressions stamps get an extra entry.

  1. oooh, Donna! I love the monochromatic theme with the gorgeously colored night sky. It's always amazing to be outdoors, enjoying the sky's blessings! It's never the same twice, and I'm always thrilled to find a deep peace as I watch stars and the moon move above our tree tops. Your card captures it so beautifully! The splatters which you CLAIM to be accidental, are the perfect touch for galaxies far away! Lovely! hugs, de

  3. I hate those times when OOPS - not even a bling will fix it!!! I think the third time is a charm - very pretty and so peaceful.

  4. If you hadn't said anything about your "oops", I would've thought that was part of your whole design scheme!! I just love it especially with that glowing moon and those silhouette trees at the bottom! Such a wonderful take on the colors! HUGS
