The masculine direction of both designs is so well handled, each one leaning into texture and finish in its own way. The brown version has a great mix of warmth and structure with the striped embossing and deckle edges, and the layered stamping gives the sentiment real presence. The gold‑embossed version feels crisp and polished, and the navy‑inked edges add just enough depth to frame it without overpowering the simplicity. A strong pair of cards that show how versatile one stamp set can be.
ReplyDeleteA very useful stamp and it looks good in both designs but the blue and gold is stunning.

ReplyDeleteIdeal for male Birthdays Donna, looks good in both colourways, although a bit more drawn to the first.

Those sound like such great garage sales, it's been so long since I found stamps at one, I do occasionally find them at Goodwill but not often.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really fun find and I am loving both versions of the card. Enjoy your new goodies!
What a great stamp with so many possibilities! Love the masculine version you created while the gold one is very striking as well.

Two fabulous cards, very different looks from one stamp x
ReplyDeleteWhat a find! Both are fabulous but you can't beat woodgrain and brown for a masculine card IMO - love the deckled edges on the frames too and the texture of the embossing folder! Hugs, Kate!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, love secondhand supplies! The stamp works so well on that woodgrain. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber this time. Claire RR DT
