Tweet House

I won this adorable digi: Tweet House (designed by Lisa Laura) from Clear Dollar Stamps Blog Hop at their talented designer Laura's website and just could not wait to create with it.  This design had been building in my mind all weekend and finally got to it this evening.  I made a baby album this w/e, baby shower invitations, favors, and squeezed in a bit of housework, laundry and husband time. I hope you found time for creating this w/e!

Cat card

I sent this cat card to my friend Shirley and Wayne a few weeks ago when their sweet cat, Thomas, they had  for 20 years died. He was of course my favorite of their pets, so had taken pictures of  him on my last visit, knowing his time was coming and colored the image to look like him. The pattern for the crocheted heart can be found on Split Coast stampers.

We had a mysterious visitor in our garage and attic section behind the garage for a week.  Finally spotted and coaxed down the friendliest cat.  Buttons (Olivia) was chipped so her owners picked her up after 3 days.  We believe  they abandoned her at our house as we left the garage open the night before and she was petrified of the outdoors. We're glad she went home but also sad as we were ready to adopt her if she didn't, I've never had a pet so she would have been my first (other than fish and turtles but you can't play with them.)

Handcut Chevron

I saw a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers on how to make your own chevrons. I cut strips of my Kaiser Craft English Rose Paper and showed my friends Shirley and Diane how to make one and we took them home to finish cutting them out and create with.  I used my new A Muse flower die cut, crinkled up the flowers and leaves, stamped  and fussy cut one of  Darcie's heart & home stamps, knotted and stained some tulle from Archiver's with an ink pad to co-ordinate and have a birthday card ready to go for a May co-workers birthday at work.  Oops, better work on my April birthday cards.  This made a nice 5x7 to fit all the group signatures at work and May is the next one.

Palm Tree

I would love to be laying under a palm tree taking it easy right about now.  Doesn't this Doodle Pantry pre-colored image make you wish you were laying on a beach? These images make such quick and easy cards! I just printed the palm tree and words, pulled out my favorite Quick Kutz oval die, an oval punch, some scrap patterned paper from The Angel Company (now carried by Red Rubber Designs), ribbon from the stash, and  a butterfly brad made by Recollections and sold at Michaels. I think I will put it by the computer and dream for a few days!

A muse beautiful botanicals , A muse cushioned in comfort -words
PopRock patterned paper, Making memories ribbon

A quick and easy go to pattern for me.  A 2" strip of patterned paper  towards the
left side.  A design layered and popped up with an embellishment and you are
done.  Clean and simple!  I made five of these is a short time, all slightly
different and  they are ready to go to cancer patients that need a boost.
