Beautiful Day

I decided to make a couple CAS cards last evening with a new set a dear friend gave me for my birthday.  The background and saying is from Beautiful Birthday set by Amuse (thanks Shirley), and the flowers were in my stash forever (by Paper Inspiration). This set makes the cutest backgrounds and has the best saying in it!  Butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Anniversary

Our annuals girls stamping weekend had to be rescheduled due to ice and snow so I spent some time in my craft room and  made up several anniversary cards to have on hand. This stamping up owl punch is so versatile. The cards are all just slight variations of this one.  I thought they turned out  cute.

Victorian Collage

I have this stamp set forever and pulled it out because I wanted to make a card to go with this embellishment!  The stamp set is Eloise Cottage from Red Rubber Designs, papers KI Vintage Charm.  The embellishment is made from a used dryer sheet.  I saw this on Pintrest (gabriellepllacco.blogspot.com) and had to try it, I did make several changes to personalize it.  You can hand cut circles, I used my scallop die cut, cut two of each size, placed them on waxed paper, misted lightly with Walnut ink, patted with paper towels to dry most of the way, then put glitter glue on the edges.  You are supposed to wait for it to dry but of course I went ahead and put my brad in the center right away and put it on my card, what is crafting without a little mess.   Let me know if you try this embellishment, I'd like to see your cards. I would like to enter this in Sketch Saturday: Sketch 348

Baptism

This is for my great nieces Baptism next Sunday.  I have made a similar CAS card before and felt it was just right for a Baptism so just changed it up a bit with the die cut and embellishments.  Looking forward to the day with family.  Also have our annual stamping girls event next Friday and Saturday so have been getting my projects ready for that, looking forward to that time with good friends, stay tuned to see those projects!  Hope everyone had a special Valentines day/weekend!

Winter Wonderland

It is in the mid 60"s here in St. Louis, Missouri and here I am posting a Digi from Sparkle and Sprinkle called Winter Wonderland!  I colored this up a few days ago when we did have ice and snow on the ground!  This was such a fun image to color  with Copics and then add glitter, glitter glue and use my snow pen. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, thanks for stopping by!

Monthly work birthday cards

This is one of the group cards I made for February birthdays at work. The stamp is a Northwoods,  I stamped it a second time in black, colored with Copics, fussy cut and then covered with Versamark and then holographic embossing powder.  See how it shimmers?

House of Cards February Challenge

It is time for the February House of Cards Challenge with the theme of LOVE.  How perfect for the month of Valentines day.  I hope you will join the challenge!

This stamp set is from Sparkle and Sprinkle and I thought it would be just adorable for the Love theme and for my husbands Valentines Day card. Easel cards are one of my favorites so first I made my base 11x 4 1/4 "(scored at 5 1/2 and 8 1/4"), and 5 1/4 by 4 1/4".

Next out came the Copics: Y000,G12&94 E13, R20&22, and then B000,12&1, for the water.  For the water, first I laid down my blender pen, then the blues and used the blender pen after to get the soft water look. Then the free, yes free glitter Sparkle and Sprinkle sent with my stamps(Orchid Rose sparkles) on the hearts, red tinsel embossing powder on the word love (masked from a saying set I had). Washi tape works great for masking. Other supplies: Die cut: Spellbinders Scallop Circles, ribbon from Michaels, K&Co. paper.
To see the fabulous creations of the rest of the design team and to join the challenge go to House of Cards.
