Anniversary Wishes

Everyone's favorite challenge this week at  The House that Stamps Built: ANYTHING GOES:

I did a Brusho background, added some water splatters and some white splatters, stamped: 14-J, May the Lord...then did some fun die cutting.  I cut out the saying and moved it to the inside of my card and layered up the front and inside of the card to add some eye appeal.  Anniversary cards for some reason are difficult for me so I thought this saying was perfect for my collection.

I hope you will play along with us, we always enjoy seeing your beautiful artwork!

Here is out lovely photo inspiration for this weeks challenge at The House that Stamps Built.:

I went with the floral and soft colors for my inspiration and below is what I came up with using Flower Power Background (10201) and Happy Birthday (8606-E).  I stamped my image in VersaMark ink and embossed in white embossing powder.  I covered with distress inks, wiped excess of with a Kleenex and embellished with gems and Happy Birthday on vellum.  I made several to have on hand for upcoming birthdays as I really liked the design.

I used the Container Set from Repeat Impressions again, this time using the jar and candy hearts. I toped the jar with another jar embossed on vellum with silver.  A bit of ribbon, a red die cut and some background paper and I was done.  For the Tic-Tac-Toe I was doing the bottom row but looks like I did the left row too.

Cards for Hug a Heart Card Drive

I made these sweet cards for a special cause for the Hug a Heart Card Drive!

Christina Hor is collecting handmade cards with a heart theme (non-Valentine’s Day) to distribute to children who are Heart Center patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The card drive runs from January 16 to February 14 and corresponds with Heart Month in February. I hope you will consider sharing your talents and make some cards to brighten a child's day! There are prizes too, so please check out all the details here. The deadline to receive your cards is February 14 so you still have time!

I made my background using bubble wrap to Darnell's NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff) this time including a suggested technique.  I put Distress Inks on the bubble wrap, misted with water and pressed onto my cardstock.  I did a couple pressings with a remisting to get a more subtle look on some of the cards. The stamp "Hello from the Heart" is a NBUS stamp from Hero Arts that I have had forever.  The panda is from  Unity Stamp Company.

House of Cards February Challenge

This is my 2nd post for today.

February 2017
Love Theme and/or Colors

Time for another fun monthly challenge at House of Cards.  This month of course is Love, or colors.  I went with Love and included most of the colors also.  I did a twist on the technique of Triple Time Stamping Technique by using the same layout but substituting patterned paper for the stamped layers.  I did inlaid die cutting on my top layer instead of stamping and finished off with some ribbon.

We hope you will join our current challenge and also check the creations of the Design Team for inspiration:

Anything but a card

This week our Challenge at  The House that Stamps Built is Anything but a Card chosen by Patti.  This was quite a challenge for me.  Luckily I had just ordered a pillow die cut so I knew I was going to go with that.  I dug into my endless stash of alcohol ink papers and found 2 similar ones and a purple one.  After die cutting my two pillow box shapes I stamped those and the third sheet with  Repeat Impressions:  10201-W Flower Power Background.  I cut out a couple flowers from the purple sheet.  I also cut a few leaves out of white card stock and colored them with distress inks.  Colored some tulle with distress ink and assembled adding a jewel to the flower center.  And of course it had to be filled with dark chocolate - my favorite!

I know you will enjoy seeing what the rest of the Design Team made:
