The House That Stamps Built: Presentation of the Week

It is my  turn for POTW at The House That Stamps Built.
I am sharing a new organization  system I
put together in minimal time that makes my card making much
easier and quicker.   I had bits and pieces cut out for card making all over
the place  but not many full size  cards pieces so decide a tote with
precut white card pieces would be handy.  This is what
 I came up with:

I have sections for:
-Scraps
-3 34" by 5" card layers
-4 by 5 1/4 " card layers
-  Scored cards
-Embossed card fronts
-Glossy 4 by 5 1/4 " for layers
-Card fronts (colored die cuts I had)-one exception to the whites
- Card bases: A2 Scored,  horizontal and vertical cut
-Card layers, horizontal and vertical cut unscored- 4 1/4 " 11" and 5 1/2" by 8 1/2"-this is my favorite.

I used a container I had at home,  my dividers are 5 1/2" by 6",  I made the
tabs with my envelope board, they could also be hand cut.

To give you an idea on the scrap section, I save sizes from little strips (for
greetings) to almost card front sizes:

This picture shows the entire basket:

I picked 4  cards from the past year to share with you that used my favorite stamps:

6104-J, Birthday Vertical My absolute most used
stamp, I keep it on a block all the time, it is cut in half on
this card. Paired with 2411-K, Pelican's Piling,
3412-C, Gulls in Flight, in the first card.

2008-K, Shepherd Boy -He makes a beautiful card.

4313-K, Sunflower and 8614-D, Find beauty Everyone likes
sunflowers they just brighten a day, and this saying is fabulous.

Remember you have a week to order these stamps for 20% off, see The House
That Stamps Built for details.

The House That Stamps Built: Anything Goes

That's right, everyone's favorite this week at The House: Anything Goes

I've yet to start on my stash of Christmas cards for this year so I
thought Anything Goes this month was the perfect time to kick
off the Christmas card season.  I see my blog friends making cards
every week for Christmas and am so impressed of how ahead of
the game they are.
I stamped up 2002-J, Holiday Lamp Post, used several blue
Distress Oxide inks on my background, spritzed with water
and a shimmer spray, use a gel pen for snow, glitter glue
on the greenery and lamp top.  Die cut by Quick Kutz.

Remember to join in with our challenge weekly, you might just be the
lucky winner of the monthly drawing for the $25 Repeat Impression's gift
certificate. Each entry gets a chance, two if you use a
Repeat Impressions stamp.  My followers get a 10% discount -see

Wendy has a beautiful spring photo for us this week at The House:

My take:

I was playing with the new Alcohol Pearls so made a few panels in
the colors of the inspiration photo.  I then embossed the
10201-W, Flower Power Background in Stampendous PearLustre white
embossing powder-see close up below.  I added a greeting:
8616-E, Happy moments, a few punches and layers.

The House That Stamps Built- Tic-Tac Toe

Tic-Tac-Toe time at the House, one of my favorites!
No photo description available.

I went diagonally from the bottom left to the top right,  choosing soft pastels,
polka dots and a stitched die version circle die. I also used a fun fold to
jazz up the card.

Happy Anniversary

I made this card today for my brother and sister-in-law's anniversary.  I've been playing
with the new pearlized alcohol inks and this background did not need
much.  I stamped Stamping Sensations Lillies and an Anniversary
sentiment from Verve.  It is difficult to see the pearlized effect in
the picture but it is amazing in real life.

Have a fabulous week!
