Buttterflies

Made it just in time for Mrs. A's monthly butterfly challenge.  I was making a December birthday card for a co-worker and decided to combine it with this challenge.  Notice the two corner punched butterflies.  Also the embossed butterfly and stick on crystal butterfly.  Stamp by Hero Arts, paper by  Red Rubber Designs.  Also got the 3 bosses Christmas cards made this weekend, will show those another day.

Pocket Card Swap Recieved

This is the gorgeous pocket letter I received in the swap, isn't it fabulous, great colors and really like the sentiment chosen for the center and the ornament theme and all the extra ornaments and snowflakes sent for me!  The nicest letter was tucked in the back for me too!  This lovely pocket letter was made by Em, my HOC teammate, who lives in England! You can find her lovely blog at Creative Em.   Thank you again Em!

Pocket Card

My first pocket card and what fun to make!  It was an optional swap the design team at House of Cards could participate in. You could choose a winter or holiday theme, mine is a bit of a mix and was sent all the way to Norway to Meredith (Ma).  As you can see below, the back of the pockets had little goodies in them to matched embellishment or theme of the front of that pocket, except the pocket with my letter.  Pintrest has examples of how to make a pocket card it you are interested or you can just wing it from my example.  Close-ups are below.

Sweetness

I was a random winner of a gift certificate to STAMPlorations for participating in the Hop to Stop domestic violence and this darling cupcake stamp was one of the items I chose. I paired it with some imaginisce paper, a couple die cuts, a bit of glitter on top of my Copic coloring and into the mail it went!  Thank you Sherry at STAMPlorations!

Mug Bear

Isn't this Mug Bear from Gerda Steiner  Designs just adorable?  I've been meaning to join her progressive challenge for awhile and when I saw this image I could not resist.  You buy the first image for the challenge and then each month you get the image for the challenge free! I just love to color bears, my favorite part is  after coloring putting  Copic blender fluid on a small piece of burlap or  any textured material and pressing it to the bear, I have a close up so you can see the texture it adds to your image.

I used a new die cut I got at Hobby Lobby, it is a Momenta cutting template and I was also excited about the little pieces from the center, see below, I'm sure I can use those to embellish.

I've been following Jennifer McGuire's kindness challenge and as I was making this card I was trying to think of who I normally do not send cards to that likes purple as much as I do.  The list of people that like purple was long but I decided on my husband.  He makes the coffee on the weekends and usually get me a refill so I wrote him a little thank you/appreciate you not on the inside.  I think he will be surprised.

Welcome Autumn: House of Cards November Challenge

House of Cards   November Challenge:
Technique Challenge: Stamped Punch Window

For my card I started with this Autumn digi from Sparkle N Sprinkle, after coloring with my Copics I added some glitter to the cats and leaves (see close up below) and then on to making my punched window.  Be sure to check out House of Cards for Mynn's video on how to do this technique and each week a team member will have another video with a twist.

Normally your paper forming the frame to your window is mounted with foam tape, my frame was too skinny or it was the embossing but it was not pretty so I cut out several windows  and glued them together to get the dimension I needed for my window. I added some sequins and an embossed Pumpkin and was good to go!

Check out the cards by the rest of the talented design team:
