Clean and Simple

 

It's been 2 weeks so time for another challenge at Allsorts. This

week Helen has chosen CAS, or you can go with ATG. 

 I used Simon SaysStamp die called Circle of Leaves,  then scored 

that layer on my ScorPal.  On the card base I blended broken china,

 seedless preserves, and peacock feathers Distress Oxides,

splattered it with water and then diluted white paint.

Sentiment stamped is in peacock feathers and cut with a

stitched die.

I have not had much mojo lately but I was determined today,

I pulled out my new Penny Black set: just for you, some snippets,

checked a few favorite blogs for there current challenge so knew

I also wanted CAS and embossing.  Image is colored

with Copic markers and white gel pen added.  The frame 

(two layers, and white center were snippets)  I pulled out the following

snippets but did not use all of them :

Shades of Blue

 Time for another card challenge at Allsorts, chosen by Liz - shades of blue,

anything goes is always an option also.

 

 

    This card was so fun to make,  although very time

 consuming, it will go to someone special.

Valentine Cards

 

I have been following sketches lately and feel like it is adding a new dimension to

my stamping.  I used different days  of dies from my Spellbinders

Advent Calendar - I am having lots of fun with this. Die cut hearts

on 2nd card.  Sentiment stamped with an old TAC stamp.

Various paper packs used.

Valentine Bookmarks

 

I made Valentine bookmarks for some special little ones in our lives.  I

used patterned paper on  on each one  and added stenciling to some of the 

backgrounds.  Images are from MFT, and sentiments form several

different sets.  Die cut hearts from snippets added to some.  These were fun

 to make!

Romance/Music

 

  Time for another fortnight challenge at Allsorts.  Our theme this week is

Romance/Music/ ATG's chosen by Gail.

 

This card turned out very different than I had planned and I like the

final result.  I pulled out a very old stamp by Penny Black called

Rhapsody.  It did not stamp the complete image after several 

inkings but I liked the look so embossed and went with it.  I colored 

the flowers with Copics.  Die cut and embossed large hearts were  

left over from last year.  I stamped and die cut the sentiment,

added some little die cut hearts and used an old stamp with dots on

it to fill ink.  I inked up panel and layered it.  I think this will make

a great Valentine's card for my husband.

Spellbinders Advent Calendar

 Sharing a few more cards I made with different days of the 

Spellbinder Advent calendar. All stamps, dies and sequins

are from the calendar and new!

 I think the bee is my favorite, I liked every item in the calendar though. I 

used at least two days of the calendar with each of these cards.

Close to Nature

 This week at Allsorts our theme was picked by Brenda: Close to Nature or

anything goes is also an option every challenge. 

I choose to work with  Penny Black blissful blossoms.  I recently inherited

this from my mom, so it is new to me.  I tried water coloring on this. 

 It turned out fairly well, I still need practice but I am enjoying doing some

 water coloring.  It is cut with a deckle die and edges distressed with

Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I tried a few sentiments but none

really worked.  I can play with that again when I have an

occasion I am sending it for.

Matching Pairs

 

Time for the first card challenge  of the New Year at Allsorts. This week our 

theme is matching pairs  or option of anything goes.  

I choose to design with two new Lavinia stamp sets I got with recent 

sales, Lavinia Moss Flowers and Heartfelt versus.  Both very 

versatile sets.  My patterned paper is from doodlebug designs. 

Flowers colored with Copic markers, centers done with a yellow

Gelly Roll glitter pen.   I matched my envelope to go with the card.
