Cards for Little Hearts

A few of the cards I made to send to the Winter Themed Cards for
Little Hearts Drive .  Just think of the impact we could make if we
all sent even 2 cards this holiday season to a cause dear to us or
to two people we know who need a boost.

When I was in grade school I was in the hospital and my roommate never
had a visitor.  My mom read to both of us and included her in
our conversation.  This cause is important to me as many of
these patients in the Heart Hospital are long term and may
not have many visitors, so hopefully a card will make
them feel special.

The House That Stamps Built: Anything Goes

It is the 4th week of the month, everyone's favorite week at The House:
Anything Goes!

This is always a good week to work on my Christmas stash.  I've been pulling
out my backgrounds and using them.  This  is a background I had made
with Brusho's - I can never just make one!  I used it in my recessed
window, for my sentiment:-1141-F, Christmas and also for
2007-I, Christmas Teddy 's hat and scarf.  I did a dry embossed
background and added a little heart embellishment.

The House That Stamps Built: Inspiration Photo

Another beautiful inspiring photo from Wendy for this week at

Image may contain: food

I drew my inspiration from the pumpkins and colors, and also was
inspired by Connie who made these darling treat bags for Halloween
and Christmas, I went with a fall version.  You can find her tutorial at https://simplysimplestamping.com/holiday-treat-bags-make-in-5-quick-minutes/.

I used Repeat Impressions: 514-I, Prize Pumpkin, 3312-E, Maple Leaf
and 3313-E, Oak Leaf and colored them with my Copics after
cutting them out with my Scan N Cut.

Happy Birthday Guys

I needed 3 masculine cards to mail tomorrow so here are the 3
quick and simple cards I made.

I used Echo Park papers on all of them. Above is a Pickle ball and paddles
I found on line for my brother-in-law.

My brother is a camera buff so this paper was perfect for him, you
can't tell to well but 3 of the camera's and the sentiment are pooped
up.

This is for a nephew.

Sometimes life gets busy and it is hard to keep ahead on the birthday
cards, especially masculine as I don't tend to have those in my stash, not
my specialty.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Repeat Impressions: Designer Choice Impressions

It's is always fun to see what one of my Design Team pals picks
for the monthly DCC at The House That Stamps Built and this
 month Joy picked circles:

As soon as I saw this I thought I love circle easel cards but I
am afraid to make one, but nothing speaks circles more than
than a circle easel card to me.  So I browsed Pinterest for a
few tutorials and they are actually very easy to make!

Above is the design I came up with using some pretty
purple floral paper from my stash, Repeat Impressions
Someone Special and the dragonfly from Waterlilies &
Dragonflies. Die cuts by Spellbinders.

Below is my card closed.

Copics I used.

Cards for Little Hearts

Today starts the Cards for Little Hearts Winter/Holiday card
drive for hospitalized children ages 1 to college graduate that I
like to participate in every year.   I used the following challenges
for my inspiration on these two cards, one opens the traditional way
and one opens from the side.
