Sketch Saturday, Sophie

This is my final week as guest designer at Sketch Saturday. It has been a fun month, amazing sketches and wonder sponsors, thanks to Sketch Saturday for the invite!  I am a regular participant so will continue playing along as usual. I hope you will join Sketch Saturday this month for a change to win a prize from out wonderful sponsor The Paper Shelter.

I chose this adorable image from The Paper Shelter: Sophie In The Country and choose to use the precolored digi as she was so adorable and I thought she just needed to be showed off. Isn't she adorable?  I fussy cut her and mounted her on Amuse's sky cardstock and added grass cut with an Amuse die cut and use my scallop circle die.  Patterned paper is Nana's Kids and I like that it has sparkles in it, I also fussy cut a few of the flowers from the paper for embellishing. Happy Birthday stamp is Morning Star and cut from Labels 4.

Easter Chick

I saw several challenges I wanted to enter this week so I made this card to fit all of them.  It could not be a square or rectangle for one of the challenges so I did a circle base and added a tent top.  NBUS challenge (Never before used stuff)-this stamp has not seen ink before. Bazzill cardstock and brads from my stash.
Below is a close up of the image:

The image is from Deep Red.  Pattern papers  K& Company, cardstock Bazzill. Copics: Y11-15-17, BV00-11, RV08, G24, YG03, B0000. Die cuts: Spellbinber and Quick Cuts. Brads from my stash.

I also did a traditional A2 card with the image.

Have a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by!

Glass of Wine

Welcome to week 3 at Sketch Saturday, this month is just flying by.  This is my third week as guest designer at Sketch Saturday and I got to use this fun image: glass of wine and the accompanying saying from our sponsor Bugaboo. Below is a close up.

And the fun saying that comes with this dig:

I used double sided patterned paper from Heritage called stripe that I bought on a recent trip to Kimswick a cute little historic town in Missouri that has one of the few remaining stamp stores in the area.  Copics: B95-97 and blender for jeans, G8-94 and blender for blouse,  Y28 and Sakura Jelly Roll pen for glass stem. For the wine I used  water color pens, I layered in this order and not solid, kinda a loose scribble: 705 red, 710 pink, 706 purple and an unlabeled lighter pink, then I darkened the edges with the purple and blended - this was the best color combo I (actually my hubby and I) could come up with to look realistic).

Thanks for taking the time to visit, I hope will check out the fabulous creations of the design team and join in with the fun at Sketch Saturday for a change to win some Bugaboo images!

Hello - Sketch Saturday

This is my second week as guest designer for Sketch Saturday for the March. This Month's sponsor is Simon Says Stamp and they are offering a $25 dollar gift certificate to the winter!

I used a flower from the Simon Says Stamp set "Always and Forever".  I picked some bright and cheery flowered papers from My Minds Eye as I am ready for spring and for the flowers to bloom! I matched my Copics to the paper: Y15-17, G12-24-94, YR00-12-18. Used a few die cuts, of course, Quick Cut's Nesting Doily Circles, Amuse studio's Hello, and Memory Box's Butterfly Wings.  I colored the butterfly in Copics, covered it in VersaMark ink,  put holographic embossing powdered on it, then heat embossed it.  The close-up below does not quite show the sparkle as well in person but it shows you a hit of the shine.

I hope you will hop over to Sketch Saturday and see the stunning designs of the Sketch Saturday ladies and join the challenge!

House of Cards March Challenge

MARCH 2015
Use Enamel Dots

What a fun challenge as I had never used enamel dots before.  Lilian, one of many talented design team members has shared a video on how to make enamel dots and it looks so easy, be sure to check this out, Toni and Dana will also be posting video's on the 11th and 18th, and also go to House of Cards and join our fun challenge!

I immediately thought of flowers when I saw enamel dots so I picked a pack up at Micheal's (before learning how easy they are to make).  I pulled out my new basket die by Impression Obsession, my Sizziz/Hero Arts Stamp and Die set, and this is my card!  So much fun and I've been using enamel dots on lots of cards since, such a quick, easy embellishment that adds so much to a card!  Hope you join us at House of Cards for this fun challenge!
