It's Fall

 Christine has picked Anything Autumn/Anything Goes for

the current Allsorts challenge. 

 

I went with an offset gate-fold.  I stamped the leaves with an Autumn

Kaleidacolor ink pad and used transdescent embossing powder on

them.  I fussy cut the leaves.  Die cut some layers and my 

greeting and added paper from doodlebug design and a few gems to complete 

my card. The trees have not yet turned these beautiful colors 

but hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

Happy Birthday

 

 I was a one of the winners of an Altenew blog hope for having my name

randomly drawn.  I got a $15 gift certificate and used it for Cupcake mini 

delight, it came with the stamps and dies! I gathered up some

white paper scraps to re-use for lots of die cutting of the cupcake and

"happy" sentiment.  I also used snippets of blue card stock, and

snippets of papers from My Minds Eye .  I used Sweet Sketch 235

for inspiration on the card above.

All Creatures Great and Small

Brenda has chosen a theme of All Creatures Great or Small, or Anything goes

for the current challenge at Allsorts. 

 

I went with a Swing Fold Card and used a unicorn as my creature.

This was such a fun card to make.  The  Swing Fold card was quite easy to

make.  I cute the front rectangle and patterned paper with StampIn Up Rectangle 

Stitched Framelet die  The cute Unicorn set was a birthday gift from

Simon Says Stamp years ago and it was time for it to see ink. I made the

rainbow by cutting all of my Spellbinder Perfect Touches Arches and Tag

dies  and then coloring them with Copics to match the Unicorn.  I had

some rainbow leftover so used it on the inside.  Sentiment is on the

back of the card.

Christmas fun fold

                                        

                                         

 I'm having lots of fun making Christmas cards this year.  I'm trying lots of new folds & 

using stamps that have not seen ink yet.   This fold was quite simple and quick.  The sentiment

is from Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Christmas Stamp/Stencil-lots more I can do

with the rest of the set still, this sentiment is NBUS (stamp) Papers are Stampin  Up. Belly

band is embossed with a poinsettia embossing folder.  Snippets used for the sentiment 

and the gold border. I will do inside sentiments  later once my grandkids pick which 

cards and sentiments they want for teachers .

Embosssing

Lynne has picked the fun theme of Embossing: Heat or Dry for Allsorts challenge:

 My card:

 I started with a scrap piece of gold card stock and picked out a 3D embossing folder: 

Secret Garden by Gemini, that I had not used before. I went with a bright paper, 

smooshing on some gold pigment ink. My flower is from a new Penny Black

set: finest petals-I decided to emboss it in gold to keep with the embossing theme,

and colored it with Copic markers.  I cut out a white and a vellum oval (the vellum 

has a faint gold design on it to ground my image.  The Happy Birthday is a sticker placed 

on leftover gold card stock. And of course a few gold gems to complete my card.

Snippet Christmas Card

 

White snippet used:

 This Christmas I am use several (numerous) Christmas NBUS stamps to make  

my Christmas cards versus one main stamp.  I did get a new  sentiment for the

 insides. This stamp is a Unity itty bitty: A child is born,

 it finally saw ink, being stamped in a pigment galaxy gold on a

white snippet and embossed.  A few die cut layers using Stampin Up 

stitched rectangles.

Colors of Summer

 Sarah has picked the fun theme of Colours of Summer for Allsorts Challenge.

 My card:

I started with blending cheery summer colors of Distress Oxide on my

background: squeezed lemonade, picked raspberry and cracked

pistachio.  I then stenciled on top of this with a stencil in the same

colors.  I stamped a sentiment stamp randomly in gray on the background.

My focal image is a Poppy Metal flower die which I dipped in

Oxide inks until I got the color I wanted.  I layered the flower on a 

vellum die cut so t would stand our from the background.  Birthday wishes

is by StampIn Up.

 My card:

I blended oxide inks on my back ground. I added a darker

brown to the sand area using a stamp from Stampin Up.

Palm tree die is from Inloveartshop but the name is

 not on the packaging-this is my first time using

this die (NBUS)

Buttterfly

  My turn to host at Allsorts challenge this fortnight. I chose:

 use a stencil,  or anything goes.

 

My card:

 I started with white card stock and blended with three colors,

I used  AALL & Creates Cascading Dots stencil and used the

same colors with a heavier hand.  Next I stamped AALL & Creates

Glide stamp and colored it with Copics.  I used deckled 

dies to cut my layers.  I used Wink of Stella on the

butterfly-it does not show up well on a photo.

Happy Independence Day

 

Sharing a CAS card I made for the Fourth of July holiday coming up.

I used an oldie but goodie stamp from Stampin Up and a stencil

by Hero Arts.  Sparkly stars made from card stock covered with

Holographic laminate sheets and then punched out. Dies are Tutti 

Designs nested banners to cut white and red snippets.

It's challenge time at Allsort and Ellie has chosen: Birds,

  I went with an easel card this fortnight.  I cut the 

flowers and leaves out of white card stock and ink blended them

for a more realistic look.  Layered it up on several arch panels,

added an embossed layer, some pearls for holding the top part

 up and a sentiment from my prestamped selection.

 I had some coordinating  snippets that I wanted to use up and
