Repeat Impressions: Anything Goes

Everyone's favorite week: Anything Goes challenge at Repeat Impressions!

I decided to go with Christmas so I have a few cards in my stash early.
Teddy bears are  amongst my favorite things especially this
2007-I, Christmas Teddy.   I enjoyed paper piecing him and it had been awhile
since I did a starburst background so thought that
would be fun.  The strip at the bottom is dry embossed.

I hope you will join in the challenge.  Remember, your creation doesn’t have to be
made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if it is, you will get an additional entry
in the drawing for a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate this month!
If you see something you would like to order there is a discount code on my sidebar.

Inspiration Photo time at The House That Stamps Built, is this not a beautiful photo and colors?

Image may contain: flower

I used a floral die cut and colored it with Distress Oxide Inks,
spritzed with water and shimmer spray.  Next I cut stamped and cut out
on my Scan N Cut: 10312-F, Striped  Flower Outline, 10305-F, Striped Flower
Solid, 10309-C, Leaf Outline Small and 10311-C,
Leaf Solid Small all available at Repeat Impressions (see coupon code

Happy Thoughts

Another card I made with my new Altenew set "Beautiful Day"  that I got for Mothers
Day.  This one was sent to my dear friend Shirley, aka Glittered Paws, a few weeks
ago after her shoulder surgery.  I went and visited last week and she was
able to do a bit of crafting, we made the following cards:

Went to a stamping convention in Collinsville, IL yesterday and got some good things,
several new vendors there this year, Pink and Main, and Taylored Expressions!
Always a lot of fun, meet up with friends from out of town and run into old
friends.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

The House That Stamps Built: Designers Choice

This week is our Designers choice challenge at The House That Stamps Built and Ester picked the fun theme of vacation.

Okay, you are asking, where are the mountains, lake, etc.  Well a part of vacation to me is relaxing with a glass of wine  at the end of the day and "Finding beauty in the little things" during the day.  This is why I went with a clean and simple stamping of

Congrats Elizabeth

I wanted to join in celebrating Mrs. A's 100th Butterfly Challenge, how exciting
is this.  I spun the wheel and went with Harvest Gold, Heat
embossing and of course a butterfly.

My sister-in-law took an early retirement and went back to school and just
graduated with an art degree.  This card is for her.  I used Altenew's
Beautiful Day set,  a Crafters Companion die for the leaves, a butterfly
punch in my stash, and an embossing folder by the Paper Studio.

The flowers are stamped in a combination of Distress Oxides and Distress Inks
as it is a 4 step stamp and I did not have enough colors in one type, I like the
resulting color.  The cardstock I used for the butterfly was colored
with Distress Oxide inks.
