The House That Stamps Built: Inspiration Photo

It is a photo inspiration this week at the House:

Image may contain: bird

I went with the colors and added in a few extra's as I wanted to make
a Thanksgiving card to wish those of you in the US a Happy
Thanksgiving, and my other followers a happy week.

I stamped  and embossed 908-K, Cornucopia, coloring it with Copics,
stamped and embossed 3214-G, Thanksgiving Blessings and did a bit
of fun layering.

Vacation

Have you been wondering where I have been? We've been hiking/vacationing
in Utah.  We went to the north rim of the Grand Canyon, Capital Reef,
Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, and Escalante National Monument. Lots
of beautiful scenery and relaxation too!  Looking forward to catching up
on your creations while I was away!

The House That Stamps Built-Tic Tac Toe

No automatic alt text available.

This week is a fun Tic Tac Toe at The House That Stamps Built, I went with
the middle row across: Dew Drops, Texture and Off the Edge:

I stenciled the background with a Tim Holtz Dot Fade stencil, using
Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink, my circle is a die cut from a burlap paper
pack from my mom (thanks mom), and I used Repeat Impressions
Birthday Vertical die cutting it into two pieces, adding additional
dimension with pop dots.  A few dew drops to finish of the
Tic Tac Toe board and I have a masculine card for my
stash.

Join in the challenge for a chance to win the monthly drawing for a $25
Repeat Impressions gift certificate.  Details here. Discount
code on my sidebar.

Project of the Week

Donna here for this weeks POTW for The House That Stamps Built,
we are going to make some quick  fun backgrounds!  Lets get started:
Gather supplies: Large acrylic block, spray bottle of water, water color markers,
water color crayons, Brushos, watercolor cardstock. Stamps of choice, I used

Sprinkle Brusho colors of choice on acrylic block, spritz with water.

Press on watercolor paper.

Hold firmly for several seconds for color to soak in. This
is important for the color to soak in.  Set aside to dry.

Take Zig markers of your choice and scribble on a
clean acrylic block.  Mist with water.

Press on watercolor paper and remember, hold firmly
for several seconds.

Scribble with Aquacolor crayons on clean acrylic
block, then mist with water.

Press on watercolor paper and  hold firmly
for several seconds.

Brusho background.

Zig markers.

 Aqua crayons.

 Stamp and embellish as desired:

I hope you enjoyed this lengthy but simple POTW and will
give it a try! Thanks for stopping by.

The House That Stamps Built: Designer Choice Challenge

It was Cheri's choice this week for The House That Stamps Built and
since it is National Teddy Bear Day she choose the fun theme of
Teddy Bears!

Repeat Impressions has so many cute Teddy Bears it was tricky to
choose but 1604-N, Rainy Day Friends had not seen ink yet so
it won our.  I colored with Copics and then put some Copic refill
on a washcloth and dabbed it on the bears to get a true animal
texture - click on the photo to enlarge and get a better
view.   I left it without a sentiment as I am not sure
yet what I will be using this card for.

November 2018
Gold & Pearl Accents and/or Colors
Image result for design seeds gold

Another fun photo inspiration from House of Cards.
Gold and pearls, this just makes me think elegance!

I  immediately thought of  Stampin Up's Beautiful You set so pulled
it out and stamped this lovely image coloring her with Copics and
accenting her with pearls.  I added numerous layers using
Our Daily Breads Lavish Die set.  Top corners are a Martha
Stewart die.  Oh, is she not lovely and elegant.

I hope you will join in the fun.

And check out the other DT members for more inspiration~
