The House That Stamps Built: Anything Goes

I have been watching some Kevin Natagawa's Stampscape video's, so
I thought I would try my hand at the blending they do on the video's using
Repeat Impressions: By the Stream.  Nowhere near their level
but I was very happy with it.

I hope you join in with our challenge weekly, you might just be the
lucky winner of the monthly drawing for the $25 Repeat Impression's gift
certificate. Each entry gets a chance, two if you use a

Thank you Sharon, Sue, Amanda, Shirley and Mom!!

Above is my card, and below are some of the decorations,
if you can't tell, those are socks on the flowers, and
in the vase the flowers are made of diapers.

The House That Stamps Built: Inspiration Photo

Wendy has another beautiful photo to inspire us this week at the

Image may contain: flower and plant

I went with the floral theme and the lovely colors:

I used my Copics on Repeat Impressions: Flowering Hearts & Heart Shutters Window
and then embossed Cat Sil. (sm).  Embossed background is by Sizziz-Tim
Holtz.

The House That Stamps Built: Tic-Tac-Toe

No photo description available.

It's Tic-Tac Toe week at The House That Stamps Built

I was going for diagonal bottom left up: dimension, texture
and border but it looks like I did the top row too: by the sea, watercolors,
and border! I used my Distress Oxides to watercolor Repeat Impressions
Under the Sea, this was a new and fun technique for me.  I added
the Starfish (lg) and Find beauty. I used an embossing
folder for dimension, embossing added the texture.

Happy Birthday

A dear friend has a birthday this coming week and this is the card I
made for her. We celebrated with lunch and shopping, along with my mom,
in the little town of Kimswick, MO which includes a stamping store!

Last week on The House That Stamps Built our
Designer Choice Challenge was to try a technique new to you
and one of my teammates did inking an embossing folder.  I'd been
wanting to try this and her beautiful card motivated me.  The stamps
came with a magazine Creative Stamps and Papercraft Ideas,
$14 and an 8x10 sheet of images and an 8x10 sheet of
sayings, can't bet that deal!

The House That Stamps Built: Designer Choice Challenge

This week at The House That Stamps Built, Esther challenges us
to try a new technique.  I have had Tim Holtz Distress Crayons
for at least a year so I pulled those out.

Stamps: Repeat Impressions:  Flower Power Background,  Because

I stamped my Repeat Impressions: Flower Power Background, and embossed
it on watercolor paper.  Then I scribbled the Distress Crayons on my mat
and picked my colors up with a watercolor brush.  I did several layers
in areas for shading and contrasts and made sure to save one
of the 6 colors in the pack for my background. I added a Repeat
Impressions sentiment: Because.

I was having so much fun I wanted to use the crayons in
another way:
Stamps: Repeat Impressions:  Flower Power Background, Thinking

I stamped my Repeat Impressions: Flower Power Background again and
embossed  it on watercolor paper.  Then I scribbled the Distress Crayons
across the paper and brushed it with my watercolor pen.  It was not
as smooth a look as I wanted so I scribbled the crayons on my
multi media matt and colored over the layers and got a much
smoother look.  I then added Repeat Impressions: Thinking.

Thanks Esther for this fun challenge!
