Thinking of You

I made a pile of new stamps I have not used yet and put them on my workspace to use before I pick up any other stamps. This is the first one, Our Daily Bread: Lighthouse. I know, I have a lot of lighthouses but could not resist this one. I stamped it with Kaleidacolor Denim, used Graphic 45 paper and labels 4 die cut. It is for our neighbor who had heart valve surgery almost 2 weeks ago and is still in the hospital. Hope to have him home in the next few days.

Tim Holtz Stencil

I played with my Tim Holtz Stencil recently and these are the different looks I got. I thought it made a nice simple masculine card. My favorite is the red one but I am not sure yet how I want to finish it, any ideas? I put my stencil down pressed my versa mark pad on the open areas and embossed with a sparkly red embossing powder. I hate to cover it up but I need to at least add some words.

I solved my technical difficulties by removing my e-mail from my phone and reloading it! Nice to be back.

Technical Difficulties, Any Suggestions

Since I changed my e-mail password I can not e-mail pictures I take on my phone to my e-mail. I've changed it on my phone and computer? Any ideas?

Stand Up Splatter Card

I saw this card base on Pintrest and it was so easy to duplicate. You just

cut your base die cut twice and score one in the middle and glue it (I used

extra adhesive to be sure it was well secured) on the bottom of your

card base. I used Xcut Rectangle parenthesis Nesting Dies.
The sweet image is a digi from Meljen Designs "Little

Pocket Puppy" and I used a sponge I've had in my stash forever to

splatter ink on the white cardstock. Added a button and twine for

a little dimension (and to cover a smudge- opportunity to embellish).

Also used my Wink of Stella to add some sparkle to the pocket stitching

and the swirls around the puppy.

Swing (Flap fold) Card Tutorial

I made my first swing (flap card) for my dear friend Shirley's birthday and it was not near as hard as I expected, it was quite fun. I used a stamp Friends designed by Maybelle RO and paper pieced the outfits to match my background papers and die cut butterflies to coordinate. The inside saying is hard to read, it says "Wishing you every stamp you could ever want and then one or two more. Happy Birthday.

Let me try to give you directions. Cut your cardstock to 7 1/2 " x 5 1/5 " (4 1/4" if you prefer, depends on the size of your die and design) Scor the 71/2 " length at 2 3/4 " and 3 1/2".

Position die of choice (Spellbinders Labels 3)as above and attach with removable tape or Washi tape. Position cutting board 7 1/2" length ONLY to the 2 34' fold line and roll through your Big Shot or Cuddlebug. Repeat going from the opposite side to the other score line. Note you will have a 3/4 " strip not cut as as in the finished example above. Fold as below. For the front flap, cut a colored or pattern piece and a smaller solid piece for your design and a solid piece for the back for your greeting. Embellish with stamping or patterned paper, and other die cuts (Butterfly) or other embellishments of choice. Enjoy and let me know if you try this so I can see your creations!
