Floating Embossed Inlay

Supplies: Tsukinek Gold embossing powder, Memory box Rhone Butterfly die cut, Darice embossing folder, Peerless Watercolors

I love trying new techniques and folds and I found this techniques that inspired me by Mary H. at Carolina Cards (she has so many beautiful cards and great techniques and explanations on her blog).  I had to try right away, it is called Floating Embossed Inlay and Mary saw it on a video by Catherine Pooler, I subscribe to her video's but missed this one.  Basically you cut half of your image out of a piece of white card stock three times-the magic number for eye appeal.  Then you cut the full image out three times, coat  it with Versa Mark, cover with embossing powder emboss it, coat with Versa Mark again, cover with embossing powder again, emboss and you have a lovely image with a lot of depth.  You can watercolor or use pattern paper as above and embellish as desired. Thanks Mary and Catherine for the inspiration!

Donna, I got my brusho set at Dick Blick. Now they are available in individual pots. They are Out of Stock at Blick until June something. I have a sort of 'pre-order' with them. I think you would love working with them. I surely do. Thanks for your visits & taking time to comment. Hugs
