I needed one more 5x7 card for August birthdays and I had been wanting to make a recessed window card so I checked out several of my favorite challenges and this is what I came up with and I was quite happy with the result. I stamped amuse studio's sunny side of life on white cardstock and sponged distress inks to get a sunset look. I dabbed Versamark ink on the image and lightly sprinkled holographic embossing powder on the image to get a night sky effect:
I die cut my circle out of Kaisercraft paper (thank you Diane!) and did my layer with Washi tape at the bottom to match my sponging. To coordinate my butterfly dies (Memory box and amuse) I layered my Washi tape on cardstock and them cut them out).
Did you notice the little corner butterfly punch in the top corners? I guess you noticed butterflies are one of my many favorites! Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful card Donna, so calming. Love your colour choice. Michelle x
Very nice card. Like how you sponged the sunset scene and also
think it clever to use washi tape on cardstock and make your
butterflies from it. Mom

Gorgeous scene, Donna. Love the way you used die cut butterflies and their coordination with your stamped image. Thanks for playing with us this week at Sketch Saturday. Hope to see you again, Cathy SS DT
There's so much to do using inks, but I don't quite master those techniques yet. Your result is fantastic. And great use of washis, I've got plenty tapes I love but need some ideas on how to use them.
So pretty Donna! Thanks so much for joining us this week at Sketch Saturday! Hugs, Deb DT

Love all your butterflies and how you created the night sky. I had not noticed the butterflies in the corner and had to scroll back up to check them out. Nice!
