Zion National Park

 

A few pictures from our vacation to Zion National Park and surrounding areas.

 

 

This is from the top of Observation Point, A very strenuous hike, you can tell

by the road and the mountains  across from it the height we hiked. Slowly but we

made it.

 

Yes, those are our feet, we did some off trail hiking and that is what we were hiking up

 part of the time.  I did send my husband ahead without me a certain point and just sat on

a rock and enjoyed the beauty.

 

This is Antelope Canyon, it was a guided tour and was a 2 1/2 hour drive midweek

and a wonderful rest for our legs.

This is a just because card. I send a card this week every year to a

dear friend that needs it for a special reason this week.  I want her

to know she is not alone and that she is in my thoughts and

I used the bird from Birds and Branches and followed the color prompt, I coordinated with papers and sequins from my stash to match the color prompt.  This set comes with a 3 saying and two other images that I have used before. I am waiting to use a saying until I am ready to send this card out it the spring, which can not come soon enough!

MHK Designs Release Week: Day 5: Easter Blessings

 

Today is the final day of release week for MHK Designs!

This design stood alone to me as a black and white, I printed it on vellum and mounted it on a spring green cardstock and added a bit of washi tape.!  Simple, clean and elegant.

I'm a bit overdue for a post and a bit behind in life, these sweet cards are going in the mail today with some treats, luckily I am working  a short day since I have an appointment and can get to the post office early.   These images were among the 4 images I snagged off of Facebook for free from Create and Craft, one more to post on Sunday. You're to Sweet uses Amuse paper and You're my sweet tea uses background paper from Michael's, I like the brown and red combo.  Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy celebrating Valentines Day!

House of Cards February Challenge : Shaped Cards

 

 

 

This months challenge for House of Cards is:

Technique Challenge: Shaped Cards

 

 

 

I chose to go with a Latte.  I used a digi from Drawn With Character and enlarged it close to an A2 card size and then printed it on white cardstock, Valentine paper, and beige cardstock.  After paper piecing I decorate the foam top of the latte first with liquid applique and heat set it (I just can never let it set overnight) and then spread clear glitter glue over it.  Then I sparkled the front of the card up with a gray atyouSpica pen.
