It's Sketch time at The House That Stamps Built!  Sketches are my favorite,

here is my take of this month's sketch:

 

 

 

I took 1320-M, Spring Blossoms and colored directly on the stamp with Tim

Holtz Distress Markers, misted with water and stamped.

Inspiration

 

Inside:  My doctor advised me to drink a glass of wine every day..

But he did not say how BIG!

I needed some inspiration for my June birthday cards for work, so I went
to this weeks Sketch Saturday and went with their sketch and it made it so easy!
 I knew which images I wanted to use so it was easy after that.  The top image is
 Bugboo digi Glassof wine and the

bottom one is Simply Defined, Be Inspired, Moments. 
I used die cuts by Tuttidesigns and Sizziz Tim Hotz Alterations.  I also used
 some papers still left from The Angel

Company, I've been trying to use them up for years, I still like
 all their papers.

Vacation

If you have been wondering why I have not been commenting I have been vacationing out in California for almost 2 weeks.  We went to Yosemite, Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon and then Palm Springs to visit a friend.  It was a wonderful vacation!  Just a few pictures to share.  Looking forward to catching up on all your creativity in the next few days!

 

 

 

The House That Stamps Built: Anything Goes

Anything Goes, everyone's favorite at The House That Stamps Built! 

 I went with a new fun fold for me, a Z-Box Pop Up Card for my DIL's birthday!

And the version for my DIL as this dog looks like her dear Jack:

 

You may of notice the flowers are different sizes, I needed little flowers for the lawn

so I stamped and reduced the size of the flowers on my printer for those flowers. 

  Supplies: Repeat Impression flowers: 1705-I, Crocuses, 1705-I, Crocuses   Dogs: 8121-P, Golden Retriever  Various die cuts.

The House That Stamps Built: Photo Inspiration

 

 It's Photo Inspiration at The House That Stamps Built this week!

 

 

 

So many fun ideas were going through my head with this photo and I still

want to play with some of them.  I went with inking up

10201-W, Flower Power Background with the colors on the photo and then embellishing.

I added a few die cuts and pearl gems and here is what I cam up with:

The House That Stamps Built:Tic-Tac-Toe

 

 

Time for  a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge at The House That Stamps Built this week. I

find this challenging as I go outside my comfort zone but I am always happy

with the results.  I used the challenge this month to make my sons

birthday card:

 

Repeat Impression Stamps:  2913-I, Hammock  3412-C, Gulls in Flight  8606-E Happy Birthday

 I started with my image and used Distress Oxide inks for the background

 (with water splatters)  and Copic markers for the image.  I added the Washi

tape to complete the middle row: Birthday-Stitching--Washi Tape and was

happy with the look the Washi tape added!

The House That Stamps Built: Single Layer Card

It is Designer Choice Challenge at The House That Stamps Built and this month
is  my choice.  I choose single layer cards.  I rarely make single layer cards
as I find them very difficult to do, so I choose this for the challenge as
my teammates always inspire me and I wanted to see what they would
 come up with.  Be sure the check out their creations, the links are below.

House of Cards

Shaped card and/or Colors

  

Time for another fun monthly challenge at House of Cards, you can go with a

shaped card or the colors. I enjoy shaped cards so went with a Z-fold card:

 

 

My husband will be officially retired the day this post goes live so I made a Z-fold card so I

could incorporate all the fun things that we hope to enjoy more of in his retirement. You will

notice the skier is not a stamped image, I took a picture of him and shrunk it and printed it on

cardstock.  I think he will be happy with this card.
