Leaf twofer

This is my second post today, please scroll down to see the Minions.

I barely made it in time for Darnell's twofer challenge this month.  I am
glad I came up with ideas today and had some time to craft!

I started with white card stock and using purple tape masked off strips
and with blender brushes blended stripes of color, overlapping some
of the rows.  I splattered some green ink and die cut and attached
a leaf die that has been in my stash and only used once before.

For my second card I die cut the leaf out of foam and used it as a stamp. I
finished the card with a hello die with a vellum layer underneath.

A few fun challenges:

Wow, Donna, you are a pro at making and using foam stamps from dies! Your leaf coverage is amazing on the background of your hello card and I like the vellum backing! I also love the way you taped and blended the colorful stripes on your first card and the great job you did with the schplattering! Thank you for playing in TCC #37! Hugs, Darnell

Those softly blended stripes of colour make for a lovely background for the intricate die cut leaf, Donna ... and what a great background you created with your foam stamp from the same die, it's so fresh! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)

Wonderful cards. I really like how you did the multi colored stripes and then added splattering.

Oh WOW - love your twofers - I've not thought of cutting a "stamp" out of foam using a die - talk about thinking out of the box. Love both of your cards in this twofer. And then the minon card - LOVE it, and I know Mike did too. Patience is a blessing when it comes to putting cards like this together. Great job.

This is such a pretty leaf die, Donna! You are so clever to use it to make a stamp from foam! I love all the colorful strips you used on the first card and the monochromatic look of the second! Thanks for sharing with us at The twofer Challenge!

How clever to make those masked stripes, the perfect setting for the lovely leaf. Also clever to make your own stamp which is really stretching the die. It's so pretty, I'm sure you use it often. Alison, Twofer GD

Using your die with foam to use it as a stamp is a super idea, I’ve never thought of that! Two beautifully designed cards.
Ps: the freebie stays there for a week, so it’s not too late to go fetch it.

Such serenely lovely cards. Their colour palette mirrors the very one that I'm gazing out on as we embrace May's sunny, new greenery filled return.
