Fireworks

Anything goes this week at The House That Stamps Built.   With 4th of July next week I wanted to go with that theme.  I die cut stars from two layers and have the stars left over for another card.
I randomly stamped this amazing fireworks stamp(9014-M, Fireworks) with Versamark ink and then embossed the fireworks and God Bless America(3711-G, God Bless America) with Egyptian Gold embossing powder.  Below is a close up of the fireworks:

We always enjoy seeing your creations entered into the weekly challenge at The House That Stamps Built. and each entry gets a chance to win the monthly prize drawing for a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions (2 chances if you use one of their stamps). Enter as often as you like and feel free to use my discount code on the top right.

Check out the design teams blog for amazing inspiration and I hope to see your cards linked up.  Have a safe and fun 4th of July if live in America.

My Favorite Things Camp Create

Whew, I made it by a few hours, finished up day 3, 4 and 5 of My Favorite Things Camp Create, so many great techniques and inspirations and lots of fun. Thanks to my friend Vicki at Stamp Smiles for participating and getting me excited to join in! Here we go:

What a fabulous video and this method really shakes well and is a fun version to send to kids, my take is below:

My badge for Spectacular Shakers:

I have tried this technique before but never got the results I got after watching this video, I will be using this technique a lot!  My card:
Badge I earned for Dry embossing:

So much fun, but as they say glitter is a girls best friend, I stenciled the background with distress inks and then burnished the butterflied with glitter per the video, I did put Glossy Accents on top of my butterflies as even though I like glitter I don't like it all over my craft room/office and I do like the look it gave it, see close up below.

My fifth and final badge is for Glitzy Glitter:

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a creative week!

Serenity

Inspiration photo week at The House That Stamps Built, isn't this photo peaceful and serene, it makes me want to curl up with a good book but instead I got out my crafting supplies and had some fun.  Here is what I came up with:

I got out my Distress Oxide Inks and created my background, misted with water and then with sheer gold shimmer (close up below). Then I stamped it with Repeat Impressions 1401-P, Portland Head Light (sm).  Is it not fabulous?  I was pleased with the result, I am liking my Distress Oxide Inks and the Repeat Impression scenery stamps make the final result so simple!

I hope you are inspired to play along at this weeks challenge at The House That Stamps Built,  check out the details on the blog and how you can win a $25 gift certificate.

Look alike

We have a fun Tic-Tac Toe Challenge at The House That Stamps Built this week with some great ideas to pick from:

No automatic alt text available.

I just had to make my focal point this adorable :8121-P, Golden Retriever from Repeat Impressions,  and I went with the top row.

I choose him for my sons birthday card.  Look at the picture below of his fiancé's dog, does the stamped image not look just like him?  Let me know what you think, they were amazed at the resemblance.  I can see using this stamp a lot in the future.

Be sure to check out the creative work of my Rock Star teammates:

Congratulations

Just got back from a short vacation, to Branson, MO, had  wonderful time visiting Silver Dollar City, College of the Ozarks, shopping at the Outlet Mall and of course visiting the local Stamping/Scrapbook store.  I wanted to share the engagement card I gave to my son and his fiancé. Such an exciting event, we are all enjoying having her in our lives and so happy for the two of them!  . I will be catching up with your blogs soon. Have a wonderful week
