Cardmaking Day

Had a stamping day with 4 friends and we each
brought a project to share.  I had two projects
as it was at my house and kept them CAS but
used techniques I had not tried before. This is the first one.
The background was done with painters tape pressed
into different  ink pads, does not get  much easier than that!
The stamp set is: just because, from Amuse.
Was a great day, lots of fun and inspiration!
I will be posting the other projects so be sure to
check back!

Flowers for Karen

I sent this card to my niece Karen this week.  She is
battling lymphoma, so I thought a card a week would
be a small way I could help lift her spirits. This is Gina K's set A
Year of Flowers, such a versatile set,  I've gotten a lot of use out of mine.
There is a book you can purchase with or separate from the set
that has a card a month using this set with various techniques.

CAS Card

I saw a tutorial for how Danni does her CAS card on
and couldn't wait to try it.  I made a dozen cards in
a little over an hour.  I just addressed three for cancer
patients and have nine ready to go.  Thanks Danni for
the wonderful tutorial!

The palm tree (Stamping Up) is my husbands card, saying from Red Rubber Designs.  The Ties are for my dad (the standard gift as a child) and are a digi from Beyond the Fringe, a great new place I found on Pintrest this week.  Papers I used on this card are This&That from echo park paper co.

Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Fathers Day.
