The House That Stamps Built: Anything Goes

Everyone's favorite this week at The House That Stamps Built, anything goes:

Would you believe I was drawing a blank this week and waited until the last
day to make my card.  I browsed Pinterest  and went
to Sketch Saturday for inspiration and then my creativity
kicked in and I made several cards!

Todays card uses Repeat Impressions: 2902-P, Bass Harbor Light (lg)
and 8611-E Thinking

Ihope you will join in the challenge.  Remember, your creation doesn’t
have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if it is,
you will get an additional entry in the  drawing for a $25 Repeat
Impressions Gift Certificate this month! Check out

The House That Stamps Built: Pick of the Week

Donna here, with my turn for "POTW" which means Pick of the Week for
The House That Stamps Built, basically I can do a project, tutorial
or whatever strikes me.  MY POTW is inspired by my friend Barb
who had a card on her blog using the "q-tip technique" which I had
never heard of before so I had to try it.  So lets get started.

Gather your supplies:  Cardstock: white 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" -several sheets,
various dye inks, q-tips rubber banded together- I got the most control
with 2-3 together, stamps  of your choice, I used Repeat Impressions:
1614-J, Fall Tree, 1610-J, Spring Tree

Stamp your image, using a MISTI or stamp positioner if you have one. Dip your
q-tip bundle into your die inks and dab on image.  Continue dipping and
dabbing until you have colored and achieved the effect you want.  Restamp
your image to bring out your image.

Layer and embellish as desired, I have two examples for you:

I hope you will try and enjoy this technique, thanks for stopping by!

The House That Stamps Built: Inspiration Photo

Time for some photo inspiration at The House:

No automatic alt text available.

I went with the fun photo colors, and the photo, I felt the falling leaves
were a good take on the falling stones.  I used a stencil and  Distress
Inks making sure to overlap the colors when I switched for interest.
I used Repeat Impressions  4025-F, Deepest Sympathy, a few brads,
and epoxy shapes for accents.

I hope you will join in the challenge.  Remember, your creation doesn’t have to be made
with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if it is, you will get an additional entry in the
drawing for a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate this month! Check out
my sidebar for a discount code.

Happy Birthday

I got this darling stamp and die set with a magazine at Barnes and
Noble, such a fun set!  I had to use it right away to make my
sister-in-laws birthday card.  It came with Stamps, a stencil and
die cuts, and the magazine for $14.95, can't beat that.

Fun folds is one of my favorite things to do so I knew I was starting with the
center square and I went diagonally up and down, primary color,
orange, green, yellow and blue, and a sponged background
using Distressed Oxides spritzed with Copper shimmer.

My fold is a side Easel card using: Repeat Impressions: 904-L, Daffodils

 Closed card for mailing:
