It's time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built and I am excited to be starting the New Year as a member of their design team. Our first challenge of the New Year is a Designers Choice Challenge (DCC) picked by Shirley and is Winter has just begun (not Christmas).
I inked up 2719-K Large Pine Tree numerous times with Tim Holtz pine needles Distress Ink and did some 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation stamping. I added embossing ink with my Versamark pen and added white embossing powder to the trees and a die cut deer. After stamping 8606-E Happy Birthday with the same ink, I did some die cutting and dry embossing and this is the card I came up with. One of my New Year resolutions is to make more masculine cards so this is my start.

Love the way you've created this snowy first with a single tree. Great work on adding the snow too. That sweet deer looks right at home standing near the forest in the snow, and like the background embossing too. Pretty card, works for either gender I should think.
