The House That Stamps Built: Single Layer Card

It is Designer Choice Challenge at The House That Stamps Built and this month
is  my choice.  I choose single layer cards.  I rarely make single layer cards
as I find them very difficult to do, so I choose this for the challenge as
my teammates always inspire me and I wanted to see what they would
come up with.  Be sure the check out their creations, the links are below.

Supplies:  2411-K, Pelican's Piling ,  3412-C, Gulls in Flight,  Distress Inks

And now it’s your turn! The rules are really simple… Remember, your creation doesn’t have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if it is, you will get an additional entry in the drawing for a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate this month!

For a 10% discount  Repeat Impressions stamps at you can use my code:

Thank you for challenging us this month with one layer. I think everyone struggles with this one - I know I do. Love your beautiful scene you created with the pelican. Awesome job with the coloring.

This was a great challenge! I'm one of those "pile-it-on" crafters that isn't very good at one-layer cards! It was a lot of fun to push myself with this one, and try something outside my comfort zone!! You created a great sea themed card --- I love those beautiful clouds in your summer sky!

One layer is a bold choice, but I love finding inspiration for one layers, so thank you. And you totally rocked it with this card, such pretty colors and love the nautical scene you’ve created.

Looks like a very fine one-layer to me. Love your clouds....and I like the way you've blended that water coming into the shoreline where the pelican is resting on his perch. I'd say Great Job on this one. It didn't need a single other element to be extremely pretty & well done. TFS & Hugs

It sounds like the only one that found this challenge to be "fun" was Laurie! But I guess that is the point of a challenge right? Your card is fabulous! I've not noticed this pelican stamp before, but now it might have to go on my list. : )
