The House That Stamps Built: Presentation of the Week

It is my week for Pick of the Week at The House That Stamps Built.
I am going to explain how to do double embossing for a fun textured look.

You will need two embossing folders, one with a mild pattern and one
with a bolder pattern.  An A2 card base, a 4 " by 5 1/4 " layer for embossing.
Other layers and stamps as desired.

Emboss milder pattern, I used Sizziz Tim Holtz wood grain.

Emboss bolder pattern, I used The Paper Studio,.

Enlarged so you can see the texture you get with two
embossing folders.

I then did some ink distressing, and used a Tim Holtz distresser on the edges.
I used Repeat Impression stamps: Cape Hatteras Light, Birthday Vertical,
Whelk Shell, and Random Dots.

Be sure to check out The House That Stamps Built blog
for a discount on the stamps that I used.

What a cool technique, Donna! I've never seen it before and I love the beautiful effect and gorgeous texture you achieved! I love that this card has a lighthouse too as I love anything to do with the ocean! Lovely work, my friend!

Love this card and technique! I've done it with stamps and stencils, but never thought to do it with embossing folders.
