Butterfly Wishes

I wanted to make a special card for a co-worker who is starting her battle with cancer and this is the card I made for her. Main image by Repeat Impression, inside saying by Unity. Papers from my stash, 3 punched butterflies from a corner punch.

Newprint Tulips

It's time for another fun challenge at House of Cards! Yes it is already August! This month pull out your twine and or use the colors below.

I had some new twine I wanted to play with and my fairly new Zig Kuretake markers so I pulled out my Hero Arts Newprint Tulips, colored them, spritzed, stamped on glossy cardstock and got the image above with the close-up below. I colored some swirls for the background and also colored the edges of cardstock for my layers to get a perfect color match. A few purple sequins from my stash and I was done. I hope you will have some fun and join us this month.

Congrats

Two co-workers became grandma's this past week, and its a boy! The fun part is it is for the same baby, yes their son and daughter are married! What an exciting time. Bear and words are embossed, background paper is from DCWV.

Water coloring/ splattering

I had so much fun making this card and the watercolor splotches that you can see above but even more so in the close-up below. I recently took a Craftsy class by Catherine Pooler: Wild Cards, 21 Techniques with Favorite Supplies and it was a great refresher and had some new twists. I had not die cut from a watercolor and embossed the die cut as I did here, and had not tried water splattering before, so thanks Catherine for the motivation!
