Stenciling

 Time for a new biweekly challenge at Allsorts.  Val has chosen the theme of

stencils and of course anything goes is also acceptable. 

 

I used a stencil by AALL & Create: Cascading Dots.  I chose several

colors and stenciled them one at a time, shifting the stencil each time.  I 

added  a happy birthday die and background from Altenew, two

circle dies and a die punched star.  I always need masculine cards. 

 

Then I misted my stencil and set it on a piece of white card 

stock and got the lovely dotted paper below.  I die cut it

with a window die by Pawsitively  Pawsome Designs and

layered some coordinating flowers from My Favorite Things 

and a hello die from Scrapbook.com.  I used colors opposite

on the color wheel and liked how this came out.

 

 

I could not waste the leftover frame and purple pieces so I 

stenciled a background on vellum with the same stencil and 

added it to a white base and layered it up with more die

cuts as named above.

 

It was great to get three cards from a fun crafting time.

Happy Anniversary

 

This week is our 45th wedding anniversary, time sure does fly, it

seems just like yesterday.  Looking forward to many more

years together.

I combined a few facts I found online for the inside

sentiment and for choosing my colors.

Spring Flowers

 

Time for a new challenge at Allsorts, Ellie choose: Spring Flowers/

anything goes.  I used AALL & Create's: Best You Ever Had 

stamp.  I embossed it and colored with alcohol markers.  I die

cut a border die and added it on a pink strip to coordinate and

then added a black card stock strip to tie it all together.

Spellbinder Advent Calendar Cards

  Had a wonderful get together making cards with 5 friends who

also purchased the Spellbinders Advent Calendar for 2024.

We each brought a card with everything cut out and ready to go.  What a great variety of

cards  and ideas to use!  We also ate, talked, ate some more and had a 

wonderful get together.  Three of us from St. Louis area drove down

together and stayed overnight - thank you Shirley for having us! 

The next day we got together with some other friends for a StampIn Up

Cup and a Card, great time also.

Make it feminine

 Allsorts challenge this week was chosen by Lynn: Make it Feminine,

or CAS.  My thoughts were immediately pink, lacy and flowery.

 

 

 

 

 I wanted to make it a special fold so browsed Pintrest  and found a tutorial by 

Anne Marie  (Updated link) that I liked, then made changes to make it my own.  Card 

stockis Bazill, patterned paper by Authentique: Refreshed, Rose and leaves

are from Altenew's Beautiful Day set (already stamped and in one

of my snippet containers)  Sentiments stamped on snippets of white and

die cut with frilly dies.  The little pink flower was also in the snippet

contained. Front lavender panel was embossed with a doily die and

then a dotted die to fill in the spaces and add interest.

Clean and Simple

 

It's been 2 weeks so time for another challenge at Allsorts. This

week Helen has chosen CAS, or you can go with ATG. 

 I used Simon SaysStamp die called Circle of Leaves,  then scored 

that layer on my ScorPal.  On the card base I blended broken china,

 seedless preserves, and peacock feathers Distress Oxides,

splattered it with water and then diluted white paint.

Sentiment stamped is in peacock feathers and cut with a

stitched die.
