Vroom
I've been a bit MIA in posting and commenting lately. Our oldest son had unexpected appendectomy a week ago, so priorities shifted a bit. He is recovering nicely and I have enjoyed my time with him.
Returning with a fun card using two of my new Repeat Impression stamps (thanks Wendy) on a CAS card for their few challenge and a few other fun challenges this week. I thought this was a fun sketch and the motorcycle was perfect for this. I also used the Tim Holtz brick background for some interest and pop dotted the motorcycle for dimension. I just love the sound of motorcycles, it always brings a smile to my face.
Wishing everyone an enjoyable long holiday weekend, hopefully with some crafting time!

May/June Challenge MHKDesigns
It is time for a new monthly photo color inspiration challenge at MHKDesigns. I hope you will join us for a chance to win a beautiful MHKDesigns digital set and papers!
I went with the design and the colors for this challenge. I used MHKDesigns Wild Rose Digi from the set Easter Blessings. I printed my Wild Rose twice so I could pop it up for dimension, I also used pop dots on my white frame. I added a few die cuts for interest and a few pearls for a bit of elegance and there we are!
This card went to a special lady, my mom, for Mother's Day!
I hope you will join the challenge this month and check out the wonderful inspiration of the Design Team at MHKDesigns. Check out the rules at here and thanks for stopping by.

Leftover's card
There are several challenges out there to use leftover's to create a card. I recently bought the container on the right below and organizer my leftovers that I really liked and on the left is cards, die cuts etc that I want to use up so this is where I headed.
Everything you see on the card except the gemstones came from these two containers. The card front was already scored, the frame was from a die cut from Impression Obsession that cuts out about 8 frames at one time so no waste to your cardstock so I keep the leftovers. The die cut flowers (from vellum) was on loan from a friend for an evening so I cut out a bunch of those. Thanks Patti! The embossed butterfly was leftover from when duct tape and embossing was the rage. A close up is below, it is actually silver but the gems give it a pinkish glow with photographing.
This card did not even take 10 minutes! I think I will play with my leftovers a bit more, this was so much fun.

Crazy Birds
Just a fun card I made with a Tim Holtz Crazy Birds set. What a fun set to color and play with. I was excited when I saw it a Micheal's, 50% off, 3 Crazy birds, 6 word sets and an embossing folder for $10.00, a deal that I could not pass up! Makes a great masculine card. Have a wonderful weekend.
Other supplies: clouds: Great Impressions, die cuts: grass by Amuse, border dies by X-cut.

Summer fun
A close up:
Is this mouse not just adorable? I colored him up for two fun challenges. He (she) is Mouse with the Drink from Gerda Steiner Designs monthly progressive challenge and I used the colors for Repeat Impressions Color Challenge. I also kept it CAS for the new challenge blog CWS: Challenge #2: CAS.
For my background I inked my stamp with pink and green watercolor markers, spritzed with water and stamped with my Misti. Then I inked up with Versa Mark ink and stamped the image again and embossed with clear embossing powder to add some texture. I used Glossy Accents on the ice cubes and straw. I hope this little mouse puts a smile on your face.

Happy Mothers Day
Can you tell I got a new stamp that I just had to play with? This is my first set from Studio 490 and is a STAMP-it Stencil-it Coneflower and I just fell in love with it. I used the stencil on my first one, the second one I did a Color Bust background, and the third I used my Copics. Any favorite? I was happy with all of them but the third is my favorite. They will all be given out today for Mother's Day which will be celebrate at my house with brunch. Wish you could be here! Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

MHKDesigns Inspiration Post
Donna here with MHKDesigns and my monthly inspiration post.
I could not resist using last months releases Stitched Sunflowers again and the Sunflower Sampler Pack. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers and I fell in love with this sunflower, the beautiful sayings with it and the paper pack. After coloring my sunflower with Copics I covered it with Versamark ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I did this 3 times for depth and effect. I had seen this paper fold numerous times and had wanted to give it a try. It is easy peasy.
Tutorial:
1 ) Choose a two side paper or make your own like I did by gluing two of the papers from the Sunflower Sampler Pack together.
2) Measure the right long side of your patterned paper and make a mark at the center.
3) Cut a straight line 2" in from the center.
4) Fold from the center of your cut line to the top right corner, smooth with a bone folder and put a dot of two side tape underneath to secure.
5) fold from the center of your cut line to the bottom right corner, smooth with a bone folder, put a dot of two sided tape underneath to secure.
6) Add your image over your cut line with pop dots or adhesive.
Let me know if you try this, I would enjoy visiting your blog and seeing your art work!
Thanks for stopping by and I would appreciate you jumping over to MHKDesigns and leaving a comment there also if you enjoyed my post and have a spare minute.
