Floor polish technique

I sorted through a couple technique photo albums, and repurposed some of the cards and put some in a pile to repurpose onto cards, and some in the recycle bin.  This was one of my all time favorites so I cut the top layer off and made a new card out of it.  It was the very old Future floor polish technique, I can't even find it on the Internet but found a similar technique called Caught in Crystal.  You drizzle clear crystal lacquer on acetate (in my case Future floor polish), Randomly drop about 3 colors of alcohol ink on the crystal lacquer or floor polish.  Sprinkle with Mica Powder and use a brush to spread you crystal lacquer or floor polish to cover the acetate.  Next crumple a piece of tissue paper, uncrumple and place over the liquid, lightly smooth.  Let dry overnight.  Trim to size, flip over and stamp your image with Staz-on ink on the front of the acetate and finish as desired.

Oh what memories - and I still have the bottle of Future floor polish. Great idea to recycle.

I really like the effect of the background and that you kept this card embellies free, because there's no need for it with a look like this!
