For Men or Boys

Time for the next bi-weekly challenge at Allsorts.  Ellie has chosen for men
or boys as the theme or you can use anything goes.  I am looking forward to
some masculine inspiration!

I recently heard about two garage sales of all stamping supplies so
have  a lot of new things to play with this year! This set is from
Fun Stampers Journey and is Journey Birthday 2017-I simply cut the 2017
off of the stamp.  I stamped it in brown on some patterned paper, restamped
with Versmark, ink and  embossed with clear embossing powder,
I trimmed my layers with a Tim Holtz die stacked deckle, embossed my
card front with a Darice Striped  background embossing folder.

I decided to make one more masculine card while I had this stamp set
on my table, this one is embossed in gold and die cut with a
Stampin Up stitched die set.  Edges are darkened with navy blue ink.

Allsorts has prizes and guest design spots, check out my team mates
fabulous inspiration and join for a chance to win!

The masculine direction of both designs is so well handled, each one leaning into texture and finish in its own way. The brown version has a great mix of warmth and structure with the striped embossing and deckle edges, and the layered stamping gives the sentiment real presence. The gold‑embossed version feels crisp and polished, and the navy‑inked edges add just enough depth to frame it without overpowering the simplicity. A strong pair of cards that show how versatile one stamp set can be.

A very useful stamp and it looks good in both designs but the blue and gold is stunning.
